The AOHS Library is open from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm daily. Students are generally allowed to visit the library during study or free periods, lunch time, before and after school, and with the permission of a teacher.

The library currently contains over 9300 volumes and has a brand new young adult/teen fiction section with 734 books. OHS has an online library catalog that allows you to search for books, place holds, and view your account at any time. In addition, we belong to a library consortium -- Kansas City, Missouri Library Information Network (KCMLIN) that allows us to find and request books and other materials outside our system to be sent to school for your use. All materials circulate according to the policies posted in the library area. Please bring your student ID card when checking in or out any materials. Reference books may not be checked out; vertical files and periodicals have limited circulation. We subscribe to 5 different newspapers and 25 magazines as well as other types of periodicals.

The library has 15 networked computers that are linked to a copier/printer for your convenience. All students have a designated folder on the school server and a school email address. Library computers should be used for research and homework purposes. Printing is charged at 10¢ per page. Copy service is also available.

Laptop computers may be used on the school network. Please see the librarian for the WEP code. Regular use rules apply.

Please come in and check us out!
